Nicole Lederman, DC
Dr. Nicole Lederman is a professor and student clinic doctor at Parker College of Chiropractic. She teaches and speaks regularly on women’s health issues and pediatric care. In addition to teaching national board review courses in Canada and the United States, Dr. Lederman has guest lectured across the Parker curriculum. She is a Fellow in the ICPA, a certified Doula, and has had two children naturally at home. She received her chiropractic degree at CMCC, Canada in 2000. Her passion, experience and enthusiasm helps doctors learn the importance and the joy of caring for children and their families.
Chiropractic for Kids: Why? The 123s of the Pediatric Examination
Why adjust pregnant Moms and the pediatric population? The importance of Peri-Natal care in relation to the health of the neonate and infant has become scientifically evident. Chiropractic care is important in relation to birth and the health of the baby. In-utero constraint, difficult/complicated labor, birth process in relation to the health of the neonate and mechanisms of VSC in relation to structural, chemical and emotional stress and the pediatric population will be thoroughly covered. Physical, orthopedic, and neurological examination procedures will be reviewed; including assessment for spinal subluxations.
The ABCs of Pediatric Adjusting and Common Childhood Conditions
In this session, you will learn:
Contraindications, methods of adjustments, lines of correction for cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and pelvic adjustments.
Modifications for Pediatric Population such as rotary break, long lever techniques, lateral flexion w/ rotation, anterior moves, torso rotation, hand contacts
Common Childhood Conditions & Case Management such as asthma, Otitis Media, Colic, Enuresis, Torticollis, the Febrile Child
